Mail Rules

What I would like to do is to create a rule that- if a document is of a specific form (such as a non-delivery report) that the rule would mark it expired. In the Notes client it’s easy enough to create, but what I want to do is to create the rule in the mail8.ntf mail template. Then, as mail databases are created from it, those databases would inherit the rule. Running compact -a against mail database would then delete the NDR.

(I’ve tried creating/saving the rule in the template and then creating a new mail database from it - but the rule was missing.)

Does anyone know of a way to pre-populate rules in the mail template that would be inherited into newly created email databases? (and ideally, prevent the user from adjusting or deleting it.)

Additionally, Notes client Rules and Server Configuration Rules have different “Specify Actions” criteria. It would be nice to have them the same.
