Mail Rules

Is there any way to fix the problem of deleted mail rules still triggering? I have an end user who had a mail rule setup to forward all emails directed to “System Architects” (a group he is a part of) to his cell phone. He deleted the rule and it is still triggering. Before he deleted it, he disabled the rule and it still was triggering then too…

Any ideas, I’m out of them at this point.

Thanks!

Subject: Mail Rules

Hi Matt, does the user have a local replica? have they altered the ACL on their server copy so that the local replica is overwriting the design elements daily?

Is there cluster replica where replication is disabled and so running the mail rules?

Check there isnt a mail rule in a configuration doc on the server also!

hope this helps

Hi,

Deleted mail rules still run and/or enabled mail rules do not run

Create a dummy Rule, enable it. Then disable it, then delete it. It will remove the prior deleted one as well.

Subject: The following worked for me

I fixed this problem by creating a dummy rule (unrelated to the original rule) and then typing,

Set Rules

on the console. The original, deleted mail rule then finally stopped working. I conclude you have to have at least one rule in the MailRules view for above command to work.
