Mail Rules Not Working

I cannot get my Notes client’s mail rules to work. Also, my Notes client’s agents will only work manually. That is, my agents will not run on a schedule and will not run on an event trigger (eg: before new mail arrives, after new mail arrives).

I am using Notes for POP mail only and I am not replicating to a Domino server. So, could my inability to get the mail rules and scheduled agents to work be related to the fact that I do not replicate to a Domino Server? It would seem to me that mail rules and scheduled agents should work on a Notes client regardless of the mail server type.

Does anybody out there have any suggestions on how I might get my Notes client’s mail rules and scheduled agents to start working?

Rules don’t work with POP3 mail, as they rely on the Domino mail router. As for local scheduled agents, the ability to run these needs to be enabled in your user preferences, but there may be something going on with your ID file (or lack of) here, given that you don’t use a Domino server. I can’t be sure on this point though, as this isn’t a way of using Notes I’m familiar with.
