Mail Rule not sending "Return Path" to SMTP Gateway

I have 11 users with mail rules that forward all received inbound mail to individual external (internet) mail addresses. When the mail rule is executed, it sends the messages to our SMTP Gateway, which happens to be Mimesweeper for SMTP 5.2. When the messages are received by Mimesweeper, they are dropped into a “Problem Message” queue, because the Return Path value is empty. Our current Mimesweeper Mail Policy is built such that only known senders within our organization will be able to send outbound SMTP messages. I then have to manually release all messages in this queue. I have checked the logs on both servers, and indeed this Return Path value is not being provided by Domino via the auto-forwarding mail rule. I have validated that this occurs when an administrator account or the users account creates the mail rule. Any ideas why the mail rule behaves this way, and how I can get it to provide this crucial Return Path value to the SMTP gateway?
