If I have 5 users on 1 server. In the scenario that 1 of those users is sending mail to another, I need to route those mails for only those 2 users to a different mail server outside the network for analysis of those mails. At that point the outside server would send the mail to it’s proper destination (in this case it would be the 2nd user). Any ideas?

don’t know if i realy understoud what you wanna do…but if this two users on the same home mailserver, the email will never be routet outside the server as long as the mail is send as notes mail. If yourealy want to go that way (i don’t know why), you have to send the email a smtp mail to an defined smtp gateway and the outer server has to know the user and its destination mail system/address after processing the “whatever-task” on the email.

Ah that’s seems to be the consesus around here too. That I can’t do, then we’d loose the functionality of the Notes mail features (buttons and etc). I’ll look into the Smart Host method. THANKS

Look at enabling a smart host in the server configuration document.

This would require changing to SMTP routing correct? Wouldnn’t that change the appearance of emails, and change the functionality of the mails?

Honestly, I don’t know. I haven’t used this feature with internal email flow.
