Mail Routing

We have a number of Domino servers most of which are on the same LAN. Once of the servers is external facing and receives SMTP mail. All mail is received OK, but every day some messages get stuck within the mail.box.

These messages will route is the router task is restarted & the ‘route “*”’ command issued. If this is not done messages are eventually rejected with a ‘delivery time expired’ message to the user.

I have checked all setting and they appear to be OK, mail routing is set within connection documents to route if one message pending.

Can a program document be used to issue the ‘route “*”’ command? Or can I schedule a router restart every hour to reduce the problem until I find a permanent solution?

Thanks in advance for your help

You could use a programdocument :

Program name: server

Command line: -c “restart task router”

Have you tried replacing the mail.box?.

I have, unfortunately this had no effect.
