Mail routing via smtp question

We have 2 Domino Domains DomainA and DomainBDomainA has both addressbooks(domainb’s NAB is used for user lookup for people in domainb for purposes of mail routing. Mail between DomainA and DomainB routes via SMTP.

Directory assistance is setup so all users in DomainA can lookup users in DomainB

The issue is that a user in domainB’s p[erson record has the notes domain specified, so when mail routing occurs the router trys to route the mail to the notes domain.

The solution I have is to remove the domain field from each person record in domainB

is there a better solution

Have you tried using this notes.ini setting on your servers in DomainA:

RouterConstructInetAddress=1

when in place, it will convert outbound mail to use the internet address specified in person docs not in DomainA.
