We have a large number of workflow applications that send mail to customers or employees where we don’t control the mail client. We can send mail to a customer, the customer uses his mail client such as Outlook and in some cases he will reply to the mail and the mail will arrive in one of our mail-in databases. This worked fine in Domino 7 and earlier. After the upgrade to Domino 8, the reply is now saved as a response document. new support was added in R8 for the RFC 2822. We have tried to find any notice about this in the release notes and in the Administrator help without success.
We realize that this new support opens doors for new improvements in our applications. On other hand, it made over thousands of replies to “disappear” and caused a lot of work for us.
Does anybody know when this new feature was added and where it is documented?
