Mail routing error/failure/timeout

I have been scratching my head about this for the last 3 hours and I need help/ideas!!!

I have 2 servers on the same network but if 2 different sites and I cannot route mail between them. The router just shows the following:

Msgs State Via Destination

9 Busy(5) NRPC CN=xxxxxx/OU=xxxxxx/O=xxxx (Push)

Transfer Threads: Max = 25; Total = 5; Inactive = 0; Max Concurrent = 12

Delivery Threads: Max = 25; Total = 1; Inactive = 0

I can trace between the two servers and they both can send/receive mail from other servers, they just timeout eventually when connecting to each other only.

I have done the following:

  1. Deleted the mail.boxes on both and rebooted the servers to rebuild them

  2. had the network config checked and all ok.

  3. ran fixup/updall/compact on the address books on both machines.

I need to get the mail routing asap, has anyone got any ideas on what may be causing the Busy status on the router? The messages do not get delivered and the users receive a failure eventually.

Any ideas?? many thanks

Do you have connection documents between them right? Is the mail routing Enabled in that documents? Which is the minimum number of mails before deliver?

If you run this command “route DestinationServer/ORG” does the router send the emails ?
