I ran an agent that sent e-mails to 400 people. Each message had a CC. 100 of these messages (and the cc) went to other mail files on the same server. The other 300 were forwarded out to the internet (their cc went to a mail file on the same server). The agent ran in about 5 seconds.
This agent caused the mail router to crash which brought down the server. That doesn’t seem like enough activity to bring down the mail router. I’m running 6.5.3 FP1 on a big Sun box with gigs of RAM and even more gigs of available HD space.
Am I wrong?
