Is there a way through a policy that upon registration of a new user a replica can be placed on another Domino server? I know that you can create a local replica but need some guidance.

I don’t believe this is possible via a registration policy in R6/7.
Just as an FYI there is an option in the registration policy in R8 to create new replicas on clustered servers.
There is another option that can be used to have the additional replica created…
You can use admin preferences to accomplish this task in the admin client:

File >> preferences >> administration preferences

Select Registration tab

Select “mail options” button

Select “Advance mail options” button

Here you will see a check box to enable the option to “Create replica(s) of mail database” and the option to add on which servers the additional replicas will be created
