Mail Quotas Enabled, mail can still be sent

Hi,

Our mail files have a quota of 175MB. This quota limit was set when the size of the DB’s were under 175MB.

When someone goes over 175MB, they get a warning message when they send mail, however, the message is still sent - but it is not saved in the sent view.

People have figured this out and some now have mail files that are like 400MB.

Do other people have this problem? Is this working as designed? I find it hard to believe that this is the correct behavior.

Jeff it is working as designed, unless you have specified the Quota Control. Within the Config doc, under Router/SMTP/Restrictionsand Controls/Delivery Options, set the Over quota enforcment.
