We have few users who’s mail quota bar is not updating in realtime. e.g. User deletes 30MB attachment email and empties out the Trash, but mail quota bar indicator does change at all from e.g. 400MB to 370MB. This is used to work in 8.5x.
Clients are running 9.01FP1 with mail 9 template. Server is running 9.01FP1.
Have any of you ran into this issue? If so, what did you do to fix it? or is this a bug?
Thanks in advance…

Hello Wongo!
In fact it is not a bug.
Before run the compact task on database, the free space will not be available.
Try it:
Delete messages, empty Trash and compact the database.
After that the quota bar shoud be updated.
Best Regards!

Thanks for the post, Rodrigo…
You do not have to run the compact in order to see the change on the quota bar. It is supposed to show the change when hover over the indicator.
Under the desktop policy > mail quota setting
Allow refresh of mail quota on hovering over quota indicator is already enabled.
I’ve deleted all hidden policies from user personal address book so that desktop policies can be repushed to the client. Will see if that helps…
