Mail quota and attachments

Hi everybody,I have a situation like this:

1- User A’s mail database is overquota

2- User A sends a message with an attachment to two or more users (User B, User C, etc…)

3- User B (or User C, etc…) reads the message then he saves and deletes the attachment, he then closes the message by clicking on the X (not on the Save and Close action button)

4- User B is prompted to Send and Save, Send only, Save, etc… and he chooses to Save only

5- The message is incorrectly sent to every other recipent without the attachment

As far as I could check, in the original message (the one with the attachment) there is the ActionInProgress field set to 1024 while it shouldn’t be there. This causes the mail to be sent.

Do you know if it is a bug and if it has been solved in a more recent release of Domino?

I tested it in a R6.5.5 environment and it behaves the same way.

Subject: this is a bug

We’ve reported this to IBM and they list it as a known issue. Hard to believe. This also happens in Beta 3 of R8. Plus, it’s not just when you delete an attachment - just editing the document can cause the behavior.
