Mail problem on Domino 6.5 Linux Server

We recently migrated a Domino server to R6.5 on RedHat Linux 9.

Since then, we’re in trouble with mail delilvery:

First: every now and then, the server “forget” we set in the Messaging Settings document, item “Address Lookup” the value “Fullname then Local Part”. Thus, any incoming message addressed to recipients differing from what present in “Internet address” into any “Person Document” are is not delivered. Such messages remain indefinitely stored into the server mail.box.

If we edit and save the Messaging Settings Document and reload router settings (“tell router update config”), all messages are delivered at once. After that, the system works correclty for a while; then, it starts again acting as if in the field were inserted “Fullname only”.

Second: the system ignores the “Verify that local domain recipients exist in the Domino Directory” in Router/SMTP SMTP Inbound Control tab in Messaging Setting document. It always accept any message addressed to non existent recipients in our domain.

any idea?

Thanks

Subject: Mail problem on Domino 6.5 Linux Server

Could this be a side effect from being on RH 9.0? I have RH 7.3 with my Domino server 6.5 and I am not getting these errors.

I am wondering either this or is the document corrupted? I would recreate the configuration document for that server and see if that helps.

Otherwise I would create a test environment and install a fresh 6.5 and see if can duplicate the problems on a clean install. If you can then report the bug to IBM.
