Mail Policies aren't applied to some users

We have a problem with mail policy settings. We use those to hide the “Message recall” button as well as lock the recall field in the preferences.

For most of the users this works fine but for some it seems that the policy isn’t applied at all.

I checked the ($Policies) … everything is fine here.

Then I checked the calender profile and here’s the problem.

While those with a working policy have the values

RecallRcvdEnabled 2010.06.07 09:14:09 A TEXT 1 0

RecallSenderUIEnabled 2010.06.07 09:14:09 A TEXT 1 0

in their profile, those without a working policy only have

RecallRcvdEnabled 2010.06.09 07:41:09 A TEXT 0

(alternatively they may have 1 … which means the checkmark is set)

I figured out that the UI-Parameter refers to the button in the sent-folder while the other parameter is the field in the preferences.

Just writing that parameters into the profil (we use noteman here) hides the button and removes the checkmark (in case RecallRcvdEnabled had 1 as value).

Unfortunately Noteman doesn’t allow to change the first value … the first 1 which obviously is the “lock” parameter here. So this isn’t a practical solution.

I know that deleting the calender profile might solve this (as it most probably is damaged in some way) but this isn’t an option either. We have a good number of users with that problem and they would lose all of their calender settings if we delete the profiles.

I really hope anybody has a better idea to repair the profiles or force the values to be applied to the profile.
