Mail not delivered despite status in mail routing events

Dear All,

I am having a strange problem.a recipient is not receiving a specific mail despite the fact that in mail routing events in Domino Administration, the status is ‘Message delivered normally’. Even when the message is tracked through the Tracking Center, the status is ‘Delivered Normally’.

We have brightmail as email filtering appliance. Even in brightmail, the message has been delivered normally to the domino server. But still the mail is not in the recipient’s mailbox.

Kindly help. I don’t know where else to search since the logs say that there is no problem with the mail.

Thank you.

Subject: All Documents

Has the message been delivered to the user’s All Documents?

Does the user have a Rule that works on these “missing” messages?

Subject: All Documents

Hello Gregg,

Thank you for your quick response.

I have checked All Documents but the mail is not there. There is no rule acting on the mail.

But the logs show that the message has been delivered.

Thank you.

Check the domino address book and make sure the “to” address being used in the message is the address on this person’s user document. Also check the mailfile named in the person document. Make sure the email address maps to the mailfile you are expecting it to go to.

Hello Maria,

Thank you for your response.

The mail routing events show that the mail has been correctly resolved to the user. It says, ‘message delivered to user/sicom (sicom is the name of the company) from sender’.

We have requested the sender to send a test mail to the recipient and it was successful. Seems the problem is with one particular mail.

Any idea why this is so??

Thank you.

Subject: agents or rules

If it says delivered to user/domain, then it was put in their mailfile. So we have to look at thigns that happen with messages once they reach the mailfile, such as:An Agent acting on new messages

Rules in the mailfile acting on new messages

Receiving user viewing their inbox with a filter or sort.
