Mail Not Being Delivered; Log says it is!

Help! We just went to 6.5 at end of February. I have 1 user who is simply not getting her mail. She is not replicating, no laptop. The messages are NOT in her database on the server! The log says they are going there, but they are not. I sent one with Trace on, and got a happy message saying it reached her…wrong! She had 384 unindexed docs, but I fixed that, still no good. It’s not the “View All” vs. “View Unread” trap. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

Sounds to me like you have multiple replicas or copies on the server. Make sure you are looking at the file name that is in use according the person record in the directory.

If there really is only one copy of the mail file, is it possible that there are rules that are unexpectedly deleting the incoming mail?

Also check for any mail agents.

Subject: Inbox vs. All Documents?

I’m sure you’ve checked, but just in case…

Thanks to everyone who posted a reply! Too bad I didn’t get the requested emails! Anyway, we found that instead of using Junk, Block for spam control, she had created 197 rules. Since the limit is 100 (you might ask why did it let her create #101) she freaked the system out and it didn’t know WHAT she wanted. We deleted the rules and she is right as rain. Thanks to spamcop and spamhaus we also have reduced spam significantly. Thanks again! Anyone know why replica address books get trashed from 180+ records to 20?
