Hi,
I’ve configured the mail journaling feature in a AIX environment with Domino 6.0.1. It works ok, but not the “periodic rollover” Database Management Method with periodicity of 1 day.
In the console appears the next message:
“Router: Cannot rollover journal db, current db will still be used. Reason: Unknown OS error”
This message appears every 5 minutes, and immediatenly after server starts up.
Any idea ?

Subject: What’s the date format of your server?
There is a bug in Domino 6 with roll-over. If the date format of your server is mm/dd/yyyy roll-over works OK. But if the date format is dd/mm/yyyy on roll-over Domino creates very strange filename, f.i. ó®oಥ¼.nsf.This filename is being created on W32, but it might be a problem on AIX.
Subject: Yeah I’m using mm/dd/yyyy on AIX and it works…
…just fine for daily rollover. Oh how I wish there was a schedule option of “monthly” so that I could have a new one roll over at 12:00:01AM on the first day of each month.
Why oh why did they let this mail journalling feature ship out the door before it was “done” ???
