Mail journaling only for outgoing internet mail

Hi Friends ,

We have a Domino SMTP server ( Server01) with no users mailbox ,

our IT head want mail journaling for one mail server (server02) with 1000 users , mail journaling must be done only for all outgoing internet mail which route thru Server02 to the smtp server server01,

i.e when any user sends a external mail , the mail route from

server02 to server01 , can the mail be journal

can this be done

i mean all mail which are send to external domain to be journaled for a specfic server.

please advice

If Server01 is not handling inbound mail routing, and you have it locked down to only accept mail from Server02, and you also have specified Server01 as the mail relay host for smtp from Server02, then it can be done. You would just set up journaling on Server01 to journal all mail (since “all mail” would only be the outgoing mail from Server02).

But if Server01 isn’t a dedicated relay box for Server02, then there is not an easy way to do this through native journaling.

hi chris ,

thanks for ur reply

yes Server01 (smtp server ) is not dedicated to server 02 , as their are also other servers which use the SMTP server.

No chances of mail journaling of server02
