Mail Journal - FAIL SAFE

I implemented a ND 6.5.2 server for a stock broker client. They have now asked for compliance purposes that all messages be journal copied to an outside 3rd party vendor who will store for 6 years. I need a fail way to BCC every incomming and outgoing message. The 3rd party vendor gave me some code but they are an O*tl**k based vendor.

What would be the best most efficient manner to do this?

Thanks

For a quick and dirty fix… I would set up Mail Journaling on the Domino server and then in the Mail in database you use to store the journalled emails set up an agent to send out a copy to the third party.

HTH.

I agree that using Mail Journaling would be a good quick fix. However, I would not create an agent to send the documents anywhere because then you lose the original header meta information about the note.

The other possibility would be to look into implementing a product that is purpose built for collecting, retaining, and searching e-mail for compliance purposes (such as iLumin’s Assentor product or Legato’s EmailXtender product).
