Mail-in DB

Hello,I have a mail-in database who is used for a department (ex : sales@mycompany.com). The users who have access to this database want to send a message from this address to an address outside of the company and they activate “Return receipt” option. They want that the message would be sent with address “sales@mycompany.com” AND the “return receipt” document generated by the people who received the original message must return to “sales@mycompany.com” and not to the personal address of the user who write the message.

If I good understand, the return receipt mechanism use the field “SENDER” who is populated by the personal address of the people who write the message.

Can you help me ?

Thanks

Jean-Francois

Put “sales@mycompany.com” into the “This mail file belongs to” field of the mail-in db Tools/Preferences dialog box. This will put the value into the “Principal” field of each mail sent from this mail-in db and thus, all replies will come back to it.

Think you will also have to remove field validation check on this field as it will be looking for a hiearchical name

Thank you for your answer. That’s work fine when you send an email; the response come back into the mail-in database. But when you ask a “return receipt”, the field “Sender” in the header is used to generate this return receipt. The value of this field is the internet address of the user who send the message.
