I have a mail file that belongs to a generic person (don’t ask, I didn’t create it). I’d like to get rid of this person, its ID and convert its mail file to mail-in database. Is this possible? What’s involved?
Appreciate any help.
Cheers

Subject: Mail-in database
It’s been a while since I’ve done any serious admin so this is by no means a comprehensive list but you will need to:Set up a mail in database entry, named ‘Generic Person’ (or whatever the user name is), and point it to the mail file.
Assign the ownership of the mail file to someone else, both in terms of preferences and assuring the ACL has the relevant entries.
Then you can remove the person using Administrator, not sure of all the steps but in 6 the admin client should take care of most of it for you.
There may be some other steps but that should be a start…
