Is there any way to allow only matches to groups and users in the address book? It seems we can only match to user (and not allow groups) or allow any variation to come in on inbound addressed email to the domain.

Also, is there any way to ensure Domino does not send notification back to external senders that a name does not exist in the name and address book?

The answer to my question was to enable “Verify that Local Domain Recipients exist in the Domino Directory” in the config file, then stop and restart the SMTP/router tasks. There is a great Redbook called “Lotus Domino 6 spam Survival Guide for IBM eServer” that covers this in detail.
