Mail group without any member

Hi,I have a “Group” document (‘Mail Only’ type) without any member defined (because of deletion of a ‘Person’ document).

I did not notice that since 2 months, and when trying to send an e-mail to this group, I did not receive any routing error.

I wonder if those e-mails were redirected to any mailbox by default… ? (for example ‘postmaster.nsf’ or something like that).

I checked on ‘log’ files but there isn’t any log regarding this address (neither in routing events, nor in miscellaneous events…).

Thank you by advance.

Olivier

Subject: no but …

if you are using the group name in an agent then you should see an error in the agent log and in the server log that says, “no names found to send mail to” since the group is empty. You could code your agent to look for this specific error and handle it accordingly. I think it’s 4037 but don’t quote me on that. You can reproduce the problem and use an error handler to catch the exact error code

Thank you for your answer.Regrettably it’s not for an agent : some customers sent me e-mails on this group for 2 months but as they didn’t receive any error, they think I received their e-mails…

So I wondered, if there’s a way to get them back, or to see who sent e-mails to this group, to apologize…

Anyway, thank you for your kind help.
