Mail Forwarding from MailIn Database

Hello All,

Don’t if anyone have come across this problem of forwarding mails from a mailin database. I realized today that whenever me or the users Forward the mail from mailin database , it composes the Memo form in my/user’s own mailbox and not within the mailin database.

Few queries:

  1. Is it known bug in R6?

  2. What is the reason for it ?

  3. Is it to do with the database owner which currently has Database title?

If anyone scan help , it’ll be great.

Not sure… might be the owner… make the database its own owner praps?

Thanks for your response. But we have Database Name put as the “owner” of the database.

yep, one of our users just pointed this out a couple of days ago. it’s any mail file too, not just mail-in db’s.

we’re getting them to do a reply instead (which works properly) and then changing the sendto address, not great but it works.

When forwarding email from a mail-in or any other mail file you are not the owner of, it is standard that the new memo is created from your own mail file. Only when you reply from a mail-in database it stays in the mail-in database. Forwarded emails will also end up in your own sent items.
