Mail forwarding and rule

Hello,

I have created a rule for one of the user’s mail database. If mail’s subject is “CBT” then forward that email to certain users.

I have done following,

Created a rule if, Subject contains, CBT then, send copy to, FULL, and gave a name of the group CBT.

Created a group in user’s (For example User1)local address book, and added 8 users who wants a copy of that email.

Result:

User1 will always get an email with the subject “CBT”. That email will be fowarded to a Group CBT, which is listed in user’s local address book.

Some times some users from grpup CBT gets an email, some times no one from the group CBT gets an email.

Created a rule if, Subject contains, CBT then, send copy to, FULL, and selected all 8 users who wants a copy of that email.

Result.

Some times some users from grpup CBT gets an email, some times no one from the group CBT gets an email.

Created a rule if, Subject contains, CBT then, send copy to, FULL, and selected user who wants a copy of that email.

Likewice created 8 rule with different user’s name.

Result.

Some times some users from grpup CBT gets an email, some times no one from the group CBT gets an email.

I don’t know why all of them are not receving an email always?

My goal is, if user1 gets an email with the subject “CBT” then forward that email to 8 different users.

Thanks

Urit

I’m not sure if rules can read personal address book, because rules are run in the server, and there is noway that rules can read personal address book. But maybe I’m wrong.Try to create group on the server, and see how it goes.

Budi is right, the mail rule are processed by the router, the router can’t access your contacts,

I’m having the same problem. Mail rule to forward mail from a particular address to others is not working properly…sometimes it forwards to one of the recipients, sometimes to none. Have you found a solution to your problem? Please let me know.
