Mail Forwarding Agent

Greetings, I would like to set up an agent that forwards mail to an external address. I don’t want to simply add a forwarding address to the Person document for the individual because I want to retain the original message in the person’s mail database. If I make a simple “MailSend” agent that forwards a copy of the message to the outside account, the From field for this message contains the server’s name and is useless if the person wants to reply to the message from this external account.

Has anyone created an agent that forwards mail but retains either the original messages “From” or “SMTPOriginator” field information and then sends the message to the external source with this information? This would allow the external recipient the ability to reply to the message to the original sender.

AFAIK, this can’t be done. You’ll have to be happy with setting the replyto field.

Hi Kevin, We have exactly the same issue as you are facing now. Please let me know at akashbedi@hotmail.com if you come across any solution?

    Even I am able to create a simple mail forward agent but the original sender's smtp email address is not shown so its not of much use. Also Forwarding Address is not good since we too want an original copy of the mail to be retained in the mail database.     

    Would really appreciate if anyone can reply for the same to my hotmail ID too.
