I have a small Domino server with about 100 people on it and I was going to go look to see mail file sizes, and the mail folder is missing. I cannot see it. I can see all the other folders, but no mail.
There are no other problems on the server. Everyone gets and sends mail with no problems. What could make the mail folder disappear and how can I get it back?
I’m sorry, I wasn’t clear. When I got into the Domino Administrator, and click on the Files tab, I don’t see the mail folder. This means that I can’t easily review file sizes, quotas, templates, etc.
The Mail folder just doesn’t exist. On the server the folder lives in D:\lotus\notes\data\mail, and I can drill to it with File-Database-Open. I just can’t see it in Administrator.
Open the public address book and look at a user document to see where his/her mail file is located.
I’ve seen a few server that where set up with the mail files under a different directory for some unremembered reason. In one instance they where using 18 directories to keep the mail files separated by compagny departments. Someting similar may be setup on your server.
