I have a quick and possibly silly question. I have searched the forum for an answer and did not find one. Here’s the deal, my mail file size is 42 MB with 99.2% usage. When I calculate the total size of my e-mails and calendar entries, they come out to 23.25 MB. I know that the template is roughly 12 MB. So shouldn’t my total Mail File be 35.25 MB? There are 6.75 MB of space unaccounted for. I only have 4 folders and my trash is empty. I have checked this on several other mail files and there seems to be 5 - 10 MB of space just missing. Can anyone enlighten me on what I may be missing? Your help is greatly appreciated.
Subject: Look at view index sizes…
With the Admin 6 client open the Files tab, select your mail file. On the right side click Database, Manage Views…
This will give you a great picture of your view index sizes per view/folder/etc - plus the total size of all indexes as compared to your mail file size.
See if that helps with your issue…
