Mail file not created

Dear friends,I have Lotus notes server 5.0.11 and created a user from lotus admin client r6.5. It created the login but did not creat the mail file under mail folder that i mentioned while registering the user. why it is so. is there any version problem.

Dear Friend,The following things ou have to check,

  1. Probably you r choosing the option to create the mail file in Backgroud.

  2. When you are using the R6.5 Clinet pls. look at the Mail file template name also at the time of registartion. The defalt it shows mail6.ntf

While you r registering the user at R5 version so I am sure you are getting the message at the server console that Mail6 template : file does not exist.

  1. So pls. choose the mail file template as mail5.ntf. Because in this case the default there is no mail file template is selected. Because it is looking for Mail6.ntf default and it not there actually.

Also, make sure the mail server isn’t set to local. I would hazard a guess that you have many mail files under your local data directory - in mail.
