Mail file indexing is very very large

I upgraded from R5.0.12 to R6.0.2CF1 and today I moved to R6.0.3

I noticed that when a user index his mail file, it can grow up to more than twice the size of the mail file. Is that normal…

I have tried to index without encrypted fields based on the fact it impose a security threat.

The options I used are defauly.

that’s normal the index grows based in the number of documeents that you have in the data base. And it grows much more based in number of view/folders in database.

yeah I know it is normal, but what’s normal is that the size has more than doubled from R5 to R6… What have IBM/LOTUS done to the indexing proccedure.

I tried that, but it is the same… Weird, right!!!
