Ladies and Gents,a senior management user wants to be able to send mail uisng his Notes 8.x client to internal recipients on an exchange 2007 domain, without having to consciously disable or ‘toggle’ the mail encryption feature, yet at the same time, be able to send mail to external recipients, again without having to disable or toggle the encryption feature. Any suggestions ideas would be welcomed.
Subject: Internal domain…
HiSuggestion. We are using Proofpoint. what we do is ask the users to click on the Send Internet Encrypted button when they send private data outside.
If the user clicks on it and the message is Internal, then it is not encrypted. Therefore, it would not be encrypted when goin to the Exchange domain.
All the button does is tag the memo with the line “InternetEncrypted” which is picked up by proofpoint at exit and then encrypted.
Not the best solution but so far, works well and does not require any toggle.
