Mail db not replicating to local. I have mgr access

Hi,

This is a real Domino annoyance I think. I tried to make a replica copy of my mail from server to local. But after the replication initiated and at 35% I find the server or client not doing anything, the taskbar indicator or % not moving. I verified I have manager access will all attributes checked and the server has designer access. I did serveral attemps, even disabled anti-virus, zone lab etc no desktop but the same problem. Ok so I tried to pull a local copy that also the same, everthing works for 35% then it stops there, I dont thik its hanging, since I can swith other databases, still read my mail though I just did it to make sure notes client is not hanging.

Als I have about 8GB free space in local harddrive. So not sure exactly Iam doing wrong or missing some obvous stuff?

Iam both server and client are 6.5.x.

Definitely not a Domino Annoyance. Needs a bit more troubleshooting is all…

Try the following.

Have a look in All Documents view and see if you can see an excessively large attachment - this could be the killer/or what makes it go so slowly

Try replicating another database - eg NAB - be sure though to call the local filename something other than names.nsf as this is what your local address book is called.

Try running a compact and fixup on your mail file (server copy). Check the logs to see if you can find any further info.

See if any of that helps. If its on all replications of any database then you probably need to try reinstalling Notes Client.
