Hello all: When attempting to run the mail conversion utility, I am receiving the error message “Mail Convert Restriction: This option is reserved for Notes administrators only.” It is running from a program document. I have successfully run it on other servers without problems. Any ideas?

just a guess but make sure your server is listed in the Administrators field on the Security tab of the server docs.

Is the mail convert tool to upgrade the users mailfile design? I am about to upgrade the design of our users from 5.0.7 to v6.5.1. template. Can you share how you did that with a program? I would appreciate the advice.Thanks.

Lotus provides a program called convert that will update databases to release 6 format, and also update the design of the database. You can create a program document or run it from the command line. I ran it twice: once to build a list of mail files, and the second to process the mail files. The program and command line options are described in administrator help.
