Mail column sorting on Maverick not working

Maverick with Notes Mac client 9.0.1 does not allow column sorting. When I point to the column the sort arrow is displayed but clicking gives no response on any column. Tried same mail file with 9.0.1 and Lion and works fine.

Update => Sorting works with non-Java views. In other words, the sorting does not work in the Mail template but does work in standard Notes views in other databases.

Maverick installed on VMware Fusion 6.0.2 virtual machine.

We had an internal user run into this and as soon as it was installed in a non-VM environment, it was fine. Unsure what’s going on with fusion in this case.
