I’ve got a user who came back to her machine to find her notes account deleting all the mail from her inbox by itself…
It then went on to delete the mail from her sent box.
A message appeared on the screen saying something along the lines of ‘deleting invox/sent all mail will be removed from all folders’ kept click ing cancel but it still deleted everything.
Had to end the task to close notes down and reboot PC. Restored from the trash but some mail permenantly gone.
Ran fixup and updall etc on mailfile. User has no rules or agents etc set up.
Has anyone else out there had this kind of problem.
Thanks in aticipation of your help and best wishes for Christmas and the New Year.
This is a new feature in 6.5 (just kidding). Do you have any malicious programmers working at your company?
Do a ctrl+a in the inbox and then delete F9 will do this - as the previous post mentioned - some buttons where clicked or some other process could have done this - such as an agent… archive settings…
I have no idea how such an action could be initiated without the user’s input. However, in the future when you need to stop the client from performing a particular action hit the: CTRL and BREAK keys at the same time. This will halt the client from performing the action. (keep hitting the key combo until the process stops)
