Mail Attachment Size Limit

Hi,

Our company has a attachment size limit of 1 MB for mails. But when a user sends a mail with an attachment > 1MB, it is sent to the server and bounces back specifying that the ‘Mail Server Policies don’t allow to send this mail’ ( no mention on the attachment size).

So, Is there any way to check the attached file(s) size on the client itself so that the user can be warned/disallowed to send the mail?

And how to mention about the attachment limit in the bounced message?

If it is not built-in in Notes, anyone knows any workaround?

Thanks.

Subject: You can use MK Email Size Limiter

By default there is no way to use any standard included behaviour in the Notes client itself. You can however use a third party product called “Email Size Limiter” from www.mk-net-work.com This product checks for email attachment sizes (among other restrictions) in the client itself and msgs (that are displayed instantly as message boxes) can be customized.
