Hi,I have been testing various ways of archiving mail using the new documnet link and file reduction features of R8.5 and would like to know if the results are expected.
The set up is as follows:

R8.5.1 Client with R8.5.1 mail file

Set to archive anything older than 2 years

I have set the clean up options to “Reduce the size of the documents” - “Remove - Attachments - Leave Summary and 40KB”

Include links to Archived documents is also set
Archiving is client and not server based.
After archiving it correctly reduces the size of all emails that contained attachments. It also set up links to the archived version of those documents. Perfect!
However…
Any document that didn’t contain an attachment but was also older than two years was moved to the archive, the original email deleted and no link created potentially resulting in a confused user since that will have two databases to search - “hmmm did that email contain an attachment?”
Is this right? My understanding from the documentation was that no documents less than 40kb would have been deleted and only those greater than 40kb or with attachments would have been processed.
Any ideas or comments and thank you in advance for your time!
