I would like to enable mail archiving on server for some users. Now all users have they mail archive locally on they computer. Is possible to have that archive on Domino server? Roaming profile or some other function?thx

Subject: Use “Archiving” policy
We are in the middle of migrating users from local archiving to server-side archiving. First you will need to look into an “Archiving” policy that will push out an archive profile to users who have been assigned the explicit policy. Second you will need to create a program document to perform the archiving. Use the “compact -A” command for this.
I have run into two issues with this project. The first is the iNotes contacts stored in the mail file are also being archived if they are older than the archive threshold (180 days), causing the user’s contacts to disappear. I solved this by resetting the modified date of the record, but you can also try setting the “PROTECTFROMARCHIVE” field.
The second issue was migrating the user’s local archives to the server archive. We are doing this manually by going to the local archive and configuring ITS archive settings to point to the new server-based archive, then just running a manual archive of all docs in the local archive.
