Did a completely clean install of 10.3, wiping the partition clean. Then installed Notes 6.5 over it.
No problems at all, so far. Definitely more snappy, and not just Notes; other apps are too. OS X is now almost usable on a G3. Previous versions definitely were not.
I have installed Domino 6.5/Sametime on a test system and would have to congratulate Lotus, that comboined with Collaboration express makes a product that will really appeal to my market, small business.
IM seems like a toy, but when you start using it, it really is a very handy tool.
It’s great to read that it is working for someof us. Also We were able to install 6.5 and run it native in our test Mac… but Notes would not start after the first reboot. Did you reboot your system since installing Notes? Is your hard drive journalised?
The bad news is that our problems are still unexplained as we can’t pin point a reproductible config…
