Today after installing Notes 8.5 Beta on a Mac 10.5.4. I could not change the password for the login into Notes. The password dialog window comes up and then accepts the original password. It accepts the change but it doesn’t stick. It still stays with the original password. I restarted and the process is still not working. Any thoughts?

If your password is about to expire, you’re presented with a dialog to change it upon startup of Notes. If you select “Yes” to change your password, you are never presented with the dialog and Notes starts up regularly.
Recommendation for the prebeta is to manually change your password via the User Security options. Select File…Security…User Security and select the “Change Password” option.
