Notes 8.5 on the Mac is WONDERFUL.
A remaining bug: When you put another application in front, Notes will, upon activity, bring itself forward, covering the other app.

I’ve had a variation on this where, if I’m in Word for instance, an incoming mail will cause the menu bar in Word to be replaced with on the ‘Lotus Notes’ application name with no options. The Notes window stays in the background and I have to cmd-tab to get to Notes and then cmd-tab back to Word to restore the Word menu bar. Very annoying.
