Mac Client not exit clean on Security autologoff

I finally figure out why my Notes Client would be in a hung state every time I return to my MAC laptop after a few hours away. Generally every morning.

I have my MAC setup Via Security Menu to logout of my account after 1 hour of inactivity.

Notes Client would not shutdown or could not be close by the Mac Logout process per a pop message on the desktop. So the Notes Client is left in a state of not being usable half shutdown but I could not close it normally.

I had to force quite Notes via Mac’s Force Quite option. Then restart Notes.

I turned off the auto logout feature under Security Mac System Prefences and this morning Notes was usable.

I would suggest someone at IBM look at this setting on Mac Security feature and test.

thanks

bill

Hi Bill,

Thanks for your feedback, how about your sleep settings, does your machine keep active or sleep when the next morning.

No issue with my Screen Save or Screen Save mode require password to gain access to desktop after Screen save it kicked on.

Notes client behaves with no issue.
