While attempting to check that an Oracle DST patch was properly installed (using the Oracle-provide SQL), I’ve run into a problem. The SQL is run from a LotusScript agent using LSXODBC, and returns data of Oracle type “timestamp with timezone”. When I use FieldNativeDataType on that column, I get whatever value FieldNativeDataType last returned (0 if never called). Also, GetValue throws an exception – something like “ODBC row not available”, even though IsResultSetAvailable is true.
The behavior leads me to suspect that the version of LSXODBC we have doesn’t understand the Oracle datatype “timestamp with timezone”, but I haven’t found any documentation that says that outright. The FieldNativeDataType help does list values for SQL_TIMESTAMP, but not for “timestamp with timezone”.
