Lotusscript Validation

Randomly, my Designer client has stopped doing the normal Lotusscript Validation upon saving a script library, where it highlights the row which has gone wrong and gives you the line number and the problem, and gives you the option of saving anyway. It now pops up a message on save, with a java error like “java.lang.IllegalStateException” and list of any errors it found, but without any line numbers or any way of finding where the error has occurred. It does seem to save the script library, but tells you that it hasn’t.

It also has stopped checking for errors while I type (which may be a good thing as it was irritating having warnings that my code was wrong before I’d even finished typing the line) so I’m thinking it may be related.

This may have happened since installing FP2 on 8.5.1, or it may have been something I caused whilst trying to get Designer to do some decent Javascript validation, but either way, if someone could tell me how to get it back to normal, I’d be extremely grateful!

Thanks,

Emily.

EDIT: Bizarrely, I’ve just noticed that this is only happening in one script library, and it happens even if I copy all of the code into a new script library saved with a different name.
