Subject: PMR web charting developer tool (must download Print Merge Reporter)

You can save time by using the PMR web charting developer tool as seen below. Also, it would be easier maintenance in the future, but the current version requires a Windows Domino server with an Excel installation. It supports all web browser clients and users simply need an Excel or PDF viewer which is available on all desktop and mobile platforms.

FYI

“The version since 2015 generates charts over 90% faster for Notes and web client users than the previous version. Your Notes app can generate charts by calling the PMR tool from an agent. The PMR tool is basically a Notes DB app.”

Subject: Lotusscript to generate graph

Search this forum for “excel and graph”. Yes, it will give you a lot of code for graphs on the notes client and you want it on the web (I read your posts from last year). But, the code will be the same to create the graph (just make sure you have excel installed on the server). When your code has finished creating the excel file with the graph you can send it to the browser.

If you want to create the excel file locally using the web browser and local excel installation then you will need to look at ActiveX.

I have already tried that code. We can’t export the graph to excel from that. I need to draw graph in Excel in Web.

Thanks,

Hi Dhar,

Take a look at our charting/graphing product - ddCharts.

In the most usual mode you just create a ‘chart definition document’ in a ddCharts database, set the database & view from which to get the data, set chart type, colors, etc., and you’re done - now simply display your chart in a browser. The powerful part is that if your view has multiple categories you can then ‘drill down’ into the lower categories simply by clicking on the chart, and even open the notes documents at the bottom!

Alternatively you could add a couple of design elements to your database, including a script library, and you can then create a graph using Lotusscript, setting the data values and graph parameters thru Lotusscript (see ddcDemo1 agent in template).

ddCharts is completely Notes based, no dll’s or other apps needed on server, or client.

The ddCharts template can be downloaded from http://www.6wsystems.com for evaluation.
