Hi,
I’ve read about Array 64k limits - but are they the same for Lists ?
If I have (pseudo-code)
Dim myList List as String
For i = 1 to 99999
mylist (i) = “dummy”
Next i
Will it work ?
I don’t dare trying on my [production] server… would it crash ?
Thanks !

Subject: Lotusscript: Array has limits - but LIST ?
Hi - just tried this on a scheduled agent on one of our servers and it ran fine. Took about 2 seconds.

I don’t believe there are any limits on the number of elements in a List - other than available memory.
From the help:

My understanding is that Lists can be huge, with millions of elements.

See Domino Limits, but the answer is the same as given by Mr. Frunobulax.

Not only are lists superior because of no limits, they are also extremely fast and versatile.
You can have lists of just about anything.
On several occasions I have created my own data types and stored lots and lots of them in lists with fantastic performance.
