I just experienced a few scripts to stop working due to one of our cluster servers being down.
This was due to the method notessession.getdatabase not supporting failover.
Now my question is, is there any programming guide for clustered environments or some resources where I can find usefull info about this topic ?

Subject: checkout the NotesDatabase.OpenWithFailover method
that might be what you’re looking for.
(you may need to add some error handling incase you don’t have sufficient access to the database)

Thanks… I am using this method now… I would rather use the OpenByReplicaId method though but I guess that it doesnt support failover either.
Thanks alot

Subject: Lotusscript and clustering features
Klaus,
You can build the failover yourself …
set db = session.getdatabase(“Cluster1”, “db.nsf”, false)
if not(db.IsOpen) then
set db = session.getdatabase(“Cluster2”, “db.nsf”, false)
end if

Obviosly I could do that… but should I, now that I have a cluster that supposedly supports failover ?
Thanks
