Lotus Traveler server - out of memory

We have set up a separate Lotus Traveler server for syncronization of mail to Apple devices. OS is Windows 2003 (64 bits), Domino is Rel. 8.5.1 (64 bits), Traveler is 8.5.1.1. The number of users synchronizing mail is approx 1.500, with approx 650 device syncs occuring at any given time.

The server is using all memory (including page file) and we have to restart the server once a day to make it work.

Regarding threads - we have the following configurations

TSS_Primesync_threads=10

TSS_Sync_Threads=350

Worker_Treads=700

HTTP threads=400

Does anyone know any Domino/Windows/Traveler tips/fix to troubleshoot this memmory issue?

Subject: Change your server to 32-bit

As far as I know traveler is only available as 32-bit application … merging that with 64-bit Domino is a sure way to disaster.

We had the exact same issue. On a VM we addded more and more RAM but the server always ran on 100% directly after the start and became unusable immediately.

Changed to 32-bit Domino and since then it works without problems!

Subject: not quite right

As far as I know traveler is only available as 32-bit applicationThen you have a gap in information :slight_smile: ; there is also a 64bit version.

Subject: 64-bit Traveler for 8.5.1.(1)?

If that’s the case I missed it.

But anyway - the OP’s problem is the mix of 32/64-bit imo.

If there’s a 46-bit Traveler that of course solves his problem faster and easier :wink:

Subject: Traveler 8.5.1.1

We’re having the same issue here with Traveler running out of memory. I’ve only got 6 users at this time running on Server 2003 (x64) with Domino 8.5.1 (x32) and Traveler 8.5.1.1 (x32). We have crashed two days in a row now with memory errors and running out of virtual memory.

When discussing with support this morning, they mentioned the possibility of having to disable Traveler. I don’t know about any of you, but I don’t think that is going to fly with the executives using this product.
